Magic Millions Gold Coast Carnival is the biggest event happening this summer in Queensland, boasting 12 whole days of horse auctioning and racing that will take place at the iconic Aquis Park Gold Coast Turf Club in Bundall – just outside of Surfers Paradise.
For both casual racegoers and veteran punters, Magic Millions Carnival features two back-to-back weekends of raceday action, including Magic Millions Polo and the annual Gold Coast Yearling Sale, which determines the runners for Magic Millions Raceday – the supercharged $10 million racecard – held on one of the final days of the carnival.
Here’s everything to strap in for this January 2020:
Aquis Raceday at Gold Coast Turf Club
Featuring all-new feature races to kick off the summer carnival in style, Aquis Raceday 2020 is a must-attend day at the races for anyone looking to start their Magic Millions experience early. This raceday event will complement Magic Millions Raceday on the weekend to follow, offering one full day of track racing with exquisite food, beverages and an electric atmosphere.
2YO Guineas, 3YO Guineas, Aquis Gold Nugget, Aquis Gold Coast Pearl and three exclusive Magic Millions races will be on the cards, starting in the morning with plenty to soak up as the races get underway, including grazing cuisine in the Aquis Park restaurants and a mini Fashions on the Field. Featuring a prizemoney pool of $1.5 million, don’t miss this preliminary raceday event on Saturday, January 4.
Magic Millions Polo 2020
Held in Doug Jennings Park Main Beach – a 20-minute drive from Gold Coast Turf Club – Pacific Fair Magic Millions Polo is an annual polo showcase that takes place during each Magic Millions Summer Carnival, rounding up the best eligible horses and polo players from around the globe for a thrilling match lineup on the oceanfront.
If you’re a polo fan, Magic Millions Polo 2020 is all set for the day after Aquis Raceday, where you can enjoy a full afternoon of high-action polo with live music performances, beverages, food and the chance to dress to impress. Both marquees and pavilions will be set up to provide a fantastic view of the grounds, making it a first-class spectators’ event in the build-up to the final race-day. Magic Millions Polo will be held on Sunday, January 5.
